eSignal has recently improved the way we notify our clients of important announcements and events that pertain to the overall health of the eSignal network. We have moved the information on the former System Status page over to the eSignal Central Bulletin Boards.
This change will make it easier for you to receive notifications when certain network or exchange issues occur. Once registered, you can set up an automatic process that will send you an email message to the email address provided. (Please note that you do not need to register to view the System Status page.)
The list provided subsequently has a summary description of each forum under the new Network and Exchange Status section of the bulletin boards.
eSignal Network -- This forum contains information on the general health of the eSignal servers. If there are any server outages, network connectivity issues, notable ISP outages or any general issue that may affect eSignal subscribers, we’ll post that information in this forum.
North America -- Equities -- This forum has pertinent information on North American equity exchanges. If any exchange is having an outage, technical difficulties or late starts, or, if eSignal is having any issues delivering these exchanges' data, we’ll update this forum.
North America -- Futures -- This forum has information on North American futures exchanges. The same holds true for this exchange as it does for the equity exchanges in the forums listed previously. The exchanges covered in this forum include the CME, CBOT, NYMEX and WCE.
Europe / Africa / Middle East -- Equities -- This forum has information on the equity exchanges from these regions. A few examples of exchanges covered in this forum are Euronext Equities, the London Stock Exchange, Borsa Italiana (Milan) and the Johannesburg Securities Exchange.
Europe / Africa / Middle East -- Futures -- This forum contains information on futures exchanges from these regions. A few examples of exchanges covered are Eurex, Euronext Futures (Matif) and the Italian Petroleum Exchange (IPE).
Asia / Pacific -- Equities -- This forum has information on equity exchanges from these two regions. A few examples of exchanges covered in this forum are the Tokyo Stock Exchange, KOSDAQ and New Zealand Stock Exchange.
Asia / Pacific -- Futures -- This forum has information on the futures exchanges from these two areas. Two exchanges covered in this forum are the Hong Kong Futures Exchange and the Sydney Futures Exchange.
To set this up, you’ll first need to register for an account on the eSignal Central Bulletin Boards.
Follow these directions for registration:
- Click here: http://forum.esignalcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=47 to get to the forums section of eSignal Central.
- Click on the Register button.
- Click on the Agree button.
- Fill in the required information and click the Submit button. (Hint: Use a different log-in and password from those associated with your eSignal account.)
- Next, you will receive a confirmation email message with a final step to complete the registration.
- Once you complete the final step described in the email message, you are done!
You will then need to log onto the boards using your new account; be sure not to use your eSignal account information for this. Instead, use your eSignal Central Bulletin Board user name and password.
Once logged in, you will click the section(s) with the information important to you, also known as "Forums”. Then, click on the "Subscribe to this Forum" link in the upper right corner. The bulletin board system will then send you an email message any time an eSignal employee posts new information about that category.
