Quote.mobi Launches New Tools
In case you missed it, back in March’s Product News article, we took a look at Quote.mobi -- a new site designed for mobile users looking for free financial tools. Since the writing of that story, we have expanded the offerings to include some great new features. We’re also planning for another big enhancement, which we’ll talk more about later.
Watchlists -- Keep Tabs on Your Favorite Symbols
On Quote.mobi, you can now create five different lists of symbols and save them for quick access at a later time. It literally takes less than a minute to set up, and, then, with a quick bookmark on your mobile device, you can see how your favorite stocks, indices or futures are performing that day.
Intraday Charting
This site also provides charting down to a 1-minute interval. This enables the viewing of, not only where the issue is now, but also where it has been that day. This is quite helpful for detecting whether or not that symbol has hit a critical price level or for determining price patterns within the price movements.
Currency Calculator
Have you ever been in a foreign country and not known the value of the local currency against what you have in your pocket? Well, Quote.mobi now provides an easy way to convert one currency to another in any amount using the latest conversion rates. You can access the top 10 world currencies through this interface, and you can get conversions in either direction.
Say, for example, that you're shopping in London and see a great pair of shoes for £80. How much is that in U.S. dollars? Just pull out your mobile phone, pull up your bookmarked Quote.mobi currency calculator, and you’ll quickly learn that they are approximately 159 dollars. Perhaps, you’re a Londoner traveling in the U.S. and need to find out what that 14-dollar lunch is really costing you in Pounds. At current rates, that’s £7.05.
Coming Soon to a Mobile Device near You
We are in the process of developing the next great tool for mobile traders. From the feedback we have been receiving, many are looking for a way to track their portfolio’s performance when they aren’t at their regular trading workstation. This ability already exists on Quote.com. However, we will soon be making this even easier to use by integrating the functionality with the easy-to-use Quote.mobi interface.
