eSignal
has upgraded its basic news package to offer more news
and research to its users. This package, called eSignal
News and Research, combines news from COMTEX, RealTimeTraders,
PR Newswire and Business Wire into one package for just
$10 per month (a $60 value!). Additionally, the package
includes an IPO Calendar, the first in a series of event-driven
information services to be available in the package.
Previously, the eSignal News package offered just PR Newswire and Business Wire for $5 per month, but, thanks to recent negotiations with our vendors, we’ve been able to expand the offering for just an additional $5 per month.
With the eSignal News and Research package, you’ll get the full PR Newswire and Business Wire feeds. You’ll also receive the COMTEX Public Companies service, which offers news from more than 20 sources, including Knight Ridder, the Associated Press and several international publications. Plus, you’ll get the RealTimeTraders Pro (RTT Pro) service, which includes up to 5,000 stories a day.
RTT Pro, previously available as a separate news service for $25 per month, covers breaking news, such as quarterly earnings results, earnings pre-announcements, mergers and acquisitions, FDA reviews / decisions, economic releases, insider trading and IPOs. It also offers commentary, analyst actions and comments, stock alerts (highlighting trading opportunities), important general (non-financial) news and more.

The package also includes an IPO Calendar, which shows IPOs presented in a calendar format.

The news as provided in the eSignal application can be viewed in the News Manager by service or keyword. You can access the IPO Calendar from the Research menu. COMTEX Public Companies is split into several service IDs, such as K2 for Knight Ridder and AP for the Associated Press. All RTT Pro news is listed on the service ID, RN while PR Newswire can be found under PR and Business Wire under BW.
To add the eSignal News and Research package to your account for $10 per month, go to Account Maintenance. If you already subscribe to the eSignal News service, you’ll automatically be upgraded to this new service. Existing subscribers to the RTT Pro service will be converted to this new service as well.
