This month, we have a frequently asked question about using eSignal behind a firewall. And, we have some exciting new things happening at eSignal, not the least of which is the release of eSignal 7.0 with all new advanced, yet easy-to-use charting, drawing tools and a formula engine for easily building your own studies.

Can I use eSignal with personal firewalls or web-filtering software?
In many cases, the answer is "yes." We've done some basic research on a variety of popular firewall and web-filtering software applications. A list of the applications we've tested appears below. Click on the name of the application to get more details on our testing. eSignal had success running on the programs highlighted in green, but we were not able to get eSignal to work with the applications highlighted in red.

20-Day Moving Average Data
We are now providing a 20-Day Average Volume for stocks. You must be using eSignal, version 6.2 or higher, and you'll need to add the field "Average Volume" into your quote window to see this new data.
